After determining whether the shock absorber is faulty or ineffective, it is necessary to first check for oil leakage or signs of old oil leakage.

The oil seal gasket and sealing gasket are broken and damaged, and the nuts on the oil storage cylinder cover are loose. It is possible that the oil seal and sealing gasket are damaged and ineffective, and a new seal should be replaced. If the oil leakage still cannot be eliminated, the shock absorber should be pulled out. If there is any jamming or varying weight, further check whether the gap between the piston and the cylinder barrel is too large, whether the shock absorber piston connecting rod is bent, and whether there are scratches or scratches on the surface of the piston connecting rod and the cylinder barrel.

If there is no oil leakage in the shock absorber, the shock absorber connecting pin, connecting rod, connecting hole, rubber sleeve, etc. should be checked for damage, detachment, fracture, or detachment. If the above inspection is normal, the shock absorber should be further disassembled to check whether the fit gap between the piston and cylinder is too large, whether the cylinder is pulled, whether the valve seal is good, whether the valve disc and valve seat fit tightly, and whether the extension spring of the shock absorber is too soft or broken. Repair or replace parts according to the situation.

In addition, shock absorbers may experience noise problems in actual use, mainly due to collisions between the shock absorber and the steel plate spring, frame or shaft, damage or detachment of the rubber pad, deformation of the shock absorber dust cylinder, insufficient oil, and other reasons. The cause should be identified and repaired.

After inspection and repair, the shock absorber should undergo performance tests on a specialized test bench. When the resistance frequency is 100 ± 1mm, the resistance of its stretching and compression stroke should comply with regulations. For example, the maximum resistance of the stretching stroke of Jiefang CAl091 is 2156~2646N, and the maximum resistance of the compression stroke is 392~588N; The maximum resistance during the stretching stroke of Dongfeng vehicle is 2450-3038N, and the maximum resistance during the compression stroke is 490-686N.
